LGBTQ+ Therapy
Are you working to discover your sexual orientation or gender identity? Have you been excluded, shamed, or ignored because of who you are or how you express yourself? Do you feel afraid, overwhelmed, or lost?
I'm SkyeBlu Cutchie, and I started this practice to work with people who identify as LGBTQ+, or who are curious and questioning, because I know what that's like. As someone who identifies as a queer femme, I understand the process of discovering yourself, feeling like no one else gets it, and slowly arriving at a place of self-acceptance.
Our work together is a safe space for exploration, acceptance, and encouragement, without judgment or shame.

You may be here because…
- You're questioning your sexual orientation or gender identity and want space to explore without pressure
- You've felt excluded, shamed, or unseen because of who you are
- You're navigating coming out, transition, or a shift in how you understand yourself
- You want a therapist who won't need you to explain the basics of being queer
What LGBTQ+ therapy actually helps with
Sexuality and gender exist on a wide, vibrant spectrum, and identity can shift over time. Therapy offers two things at once: a place to understand your own orientation and gender identity more fully, and a place to process the real stress of marginalization, ignorance, or rejection.
When that stress builds up, it often shows up as anxiety, trouble sleeping, isolation, irritability, heartache, or racing thoughts. You deserve support before it reaches that point, and support if it already has.
Common reasons people reach out
- Questioning or exploring sexual orientation or gender identity
- Coming out to yourself, a partner, or family
- Anxiety, isolation, or low mood connected to identity
- Navigating unsupportive family, work, or social environments
- Wanting a therapist who is fluent in queer and trans experience
- Combining LGBTQ+-affirming care with sex therapy, relationship work, or kink and non-monogamy support
How SkyeBlu approaches this work
Whether you're gay, straight, bi, lesbian, pan, queer, or still figuring it out, whether you're masculine, feminine, trans, non-binary, gender-fluid, or somewhere in between, this work starts with helping you understand your own complexity: physical, psychological, social, sexual, and spiritual.
Sessions draw on Person-Centered (Rogerian) therapy so you feel heard, respected, and accepted from the first conversation. We also use psychoanalytic ideas to notice patterns from your past, sometimes through art therapy, metaphor, or a sand tray, along with mindfulness and body-based (somatic) awareness. Sex therapy techniques can be woven in as needed for issues related to sexuality and intimacy.

What working together may look like
You don't have to figure this out alone or in silence. We can work through it together, at your pace.
