LGBTQIA2+ Therapy

1
Find yourself, be yourself, feel supported.

Are you working to discover your sexual orientation or gender identity? Have you been excluded, shamed, or ignored because of who you are or how you express yourself? Do you feel afraid, overwhelmed, or lost?

I am here for you.

My name is SkyeBlu Cutchie, and I started my own therapy practice to help people who identify as LGBTQ+ or are curious or questioning – because I know what it’s like.

As someone who identifies as a queer femme, I know what it’s like to journey and discover, to feel like no one understands, and to reach a place of love and self-congruence. I provide counseling specifically tailored for people like you in the hopes of providing a safe space for exploration, acceptance, and encouragement.

If you or someone you love are interested and ready to begin your journey, contact me today. To learn more about therapy for the LGBTQ+ community and how it can help, read on!

Do you really need therapy?

Therapy can be useful in two main ways.

First, therapy provides an opportunity for exploration and understanding. Sexuality and gender exist on a vast and vibrant spectrum, and our identities may even shift and change over time. Therapy can help those who are questioning or looking to understand their own sexual orientation and or gender identities more fully. All of us question who we are, and some of us try to make ourselves “fit in” with society’s expectations and standards for what is “normal.” Yet, people are incredibly complex and diverse - each one of us is unique. You deserve an opportunity to understand yourself without fear of judgment or shame.

And second, therapy provides a safe haven of emotional support. Therapy can help those who are navigating the stressors of marginalization, ignorance, and oppression. When these stressors become too much to bear, emotional symptoms tend to crop up:

  • Anxiety attacks
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Irritability and anger
  • Heartache
  • Frequent worry or racing thoughts

If you or a loved one are looking for a safe space to explore and feel supported, don’t wait - let’s connect.

How can therapy with SkyeBlu help?

Whether you are gay, straight, bi, lesbian, pan, queer, or questioning, I can help.

Whether you are masculine, feminine, Trans, non-binary, gender-fluid, or just trying to figure it all out, I am here for you.

My job is to help you discover who you are, be yourself, and feel cared for along the way.

I work hard to help you understand your unique complexity: physical, psychological, social, sexual, and spiritual. I operate from a holistic perspective that integrates Person-Centered (or Rogerian) Therapy to help you feel heard, respected, and accepted – you deserve nothing less! My hope is to help you become your true, authentic self.

I also draw from Psychoanalytic theory to understand your unconscious mind and identify patterns and parallels in your life. Sometimes this includes art therapy (drawing mostly), metaphors (bringing a feeling to life), using a sand tray. We may also dive into mindfulness practices and, and somatic techniques (noticing feelings/sensations in the body) to raise your sense of self-awareness.

As desired, we may also integrate elements of Sex Therapy to help you and your partner(s) with any issues related to sexuality.

You don’t have to journey alone. You don’t need to struggle in silence.

We can do this, together.
